Fabulous Rewards for Treating Your Skin to Facial Royalty

Facials are my absolute favourite treatment to provide! I’m all about giving clients a moment of self-care while taking good care of their skin. I am very passionate about the positive results that come with treating the skin.

I love seeing client’s skin glow and look more hydrated and healthy after a treatment I provide. It means that through the products, knowledge, and modalities I used during the treatment, I was able to help their skin look and feel better. That is such a rewarding feeling!

Indulging yourself in some necessary self-care with an elevated spa facial offers wonderful rewards for your skin and overall wellness.

Not only do you leave the spa with your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, but you also feel more soothed and relaxed.

A good-quality and professional facial usually includes thorough skincare analysis and consultation to address client needs, goals, and preferences, as well as going over anything that may be a contraindication to the treatment.

When it comes to facial treatments, your esthetician is the skincare expert, with the knowledge required to customize your treatment plan to your individual needs. A good esthetician will end your treatment with personalized product recommendations and homecare instructions to further enhance your treatment benefits and rewards.

Fabulous Rewards for Treating Your Skin to Facial Royalty

I’ve come up with some of the most rewarding benefits of receiving a facial treatment, including what each type of facial provides and even some of the many skin care ingredients that are often incorporated into these amazing treatments.

Classic Facial Benfits

Your skin will look and feel softer, and more hydrated, and will help improve your skin’s texture. This type of facial is often for those who’ve never had a facial before and want to experience the wonderful benefits and rewards. After a classic facial, your skin may even feel a bit less congested and provide a few anti-aging benefits. (More on the different types of facials in a future post).

Skin Analysis

The rewards of having a thorough skin analysis include targeting your skin issues, noticing other issues on the skin that may need to be addressed, and having your esthetician create a customized treatment plan for you.

Exfoliation

After your skin is cleansed, toned, and thoroughly analyzed under a magnifying mirror, an exfoliant (that is beneficial for your skincare concerns) is applied to your face.

Hot Towels

Have you ever wondered why your esthetician uses hot towels throughout your facial treatment? they do this because they can soothe your senses, soften your skin, and help with efficient product removal.

*Here is a Tip I Recommend: If you have sensitive skin and/or are sensitive to heat, politely ask your esthetician if she could cool down your (hot towel) a bit before placing it on the face. Since a facial is customized to your needs, there should be no issue in asking this.

There are many different types of exfoliation modalities and products, depending on what your main concerns and goals are for the treatment. Exfoliating the skin removes all that dead skin and reveals glowing skin underneath. It also prepares the skin for other products, to help them absorb much more effectively.

Sometimes, exfoliating can even reduce the appearance of pigmentation when the correct products are applied to the skin.

Enzymatic Peels

These are some of the many types of exfoliations used in the spa industry today. These types of peels work to get rid of dead skin and keratin buildup and could even potentially reduce some inflammation in the skin.

Peptides

Peptides are anti-aging antioxidants that are often found in skincare products for mature skin. These amazing ingredients work to help heal and hydrate the skin, to improve collagen and elastin production.

High-Frequency

A facial treatment sometimes includes high-frequency, which helps improve blood flow to support healthy skin and reduce the appearance of open areas after extractions. It helps to heal the skin and gives antiseptic benefits to further clean the skin.

Facial Steamer

Facial steamers are more often used after the exfoliation step has been completed, but can also be used through the treatment in other steps. Steamers help to soften the skin, provide relaxation, open up the pores, decongest sinuses, and even help other products absorb better into the skin.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is great for brightening the skin, with its anti-aging rewards and ability to enhance the production of new collagen. It can also help to heal the skin and give it a healthy appearance.

*Tip: If you are someone who wants to reduce dark under-eye circles or to reduce redness (inflammation), try using Vitamin C + Vitamin E together to see if it provides you with any desired results. This is only a suggestion, as I cannot provide medical advice. I would encourage you to research these ingredients further and to only use them if they are good for your skin.

Skincare Facial Massage

The skincare massage is everyone’s favourite part of the facial treatment because it is very soothing and relaxing. In addition, this type of massage may also improve circulation and help other products absorb better into the skin.

So, as you can see there are many (and even more) ingredients, products and modalities that are incorporated into giving you a high-quality facial treatment. I hope you found this post helpful to you in learning about what an amazing facial treatment has to offer.
