Mature Women’s #1 PRO Makeup Application Guide

Women of mature age don’t often wear a lot of makeup due to the various traditions about beauty over the years, as well as social norms and personal experiences.

These women often care for their beauty in other ways, such as ensuring they have a daily skincare regime they practice every day. They also take care of their beauty by receiving professional skincare treatments like hydrating facial masks.

Makeup wasn’t as popular when our grandparents were growing up as it is today. Back in their days, makeup wasn’t a very important aspect of a beauty routine and women often shopped for more important things instead. They were more concerned about taking good care of their family, rather than going out and spending exuberant amounts of money on makeup products.

During the early 1900s,

Experimenting with different makeup colours didn’t become popular until the 1980s, with the rise of influence from celebrities like Cindy Lauper and Price. Their makeup styles had more of an edge, with heavy eyeliner and bold eyeshadow colours.

Even with all the influential people who wear and advertise makeup products today, many mature women still don’t feel the need to wear too much makeup. This is in part due to how they were raised and their experiences, as I mentioned above.

It could also be due to the fact that not a lot of mature women are represented in the beauty industry, as they opt for the younger generation to market these products instead. It would be nice if we could see more mature women represented in beauty ads because they represent experience, wisdom, growth, and strength.

This would be a nice theme to add to beauty advertisements that we most often see today. A theme that showcases that beauty can come from all types of generations, especially those who’ve had many decades to redefine what beauty truly means to them.

General Makeup Application for Mature Women

  1. Use a gentle face cream or a hydrating moisturizer.

  4. Make sure your concealer is at least 2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone.
  5. Apply a bit of bronzer around the edges of the face to sculpt and create depth to the facial shape.
  6. Next, apply some lightly coloured blush onto the apples of the checks and highlight over the top of this and the cheekbones.
  7. To colour the lips, use a lip liner to outline the shape of the lips and lipstick to enhance the colour.
  8. For a nice eyelash effect, apply some black mascara and curl with a lash curler.

TIPS:

  • Make your face look thinner by using a darker shade of contour or bronzer.
  • A little bit of makeup goes a long way.

To Reduce Wrinkles: Apply primer and liquid foundation and set with a translucent powder. Use a small facial brush to highlight the wrinkles and gently blend. Set this with a translucent matte powder, being cautious to avoid any shimmers.
